Sự kiện “2025 KOREA – VIETNAM DIGITAL INNOVATION FORUM” đã diễn ra thành công vào Thứ Năm, ngày 12 tháng 6 năm 2025, tại Trung tâm Hội chợ & Triển lãm Sài Gòn (SECC), Quận 7, TP. HCM.

As we begin a new decade, it’s useful to spend a moment reflecting on how far we’ve come over the past decade and look ahead to see what’s on the horizon. In technology, this is an especially important exercise, as the advancing rate of change in capabilities is dizzying — which in turn lends itself to marketers creating a very distorted view of the upcoming world.

Ten years ago, for example, the first iPad was introduced, Nokia controlled 40% of the global mobile phone market, and consumers were beginning to download social media apps on their smartphones. A lot of those smartphones didn’t have touchscreens, either — remember the beloved mini QWERTY keyboards?

2010 seems like a long time ago, doesn’t it?

With that in mind, I’d like to look at what we can expect from technology in the year to come.

1. 5G will be a life-changer but won’t be fully available.

The arrival of 5G technologies will transform how consumers live and how businesses interact with customers. However, 2020 (or even 2021) will not be that year. Mass availability of 5G is still two to three years away, even for the early adopting community, but that won’t stop 5G companies from convincing businesses to pay for “5G connectivity” when, in practice, they’ll be getting something that’s not much different than they have now, but for a much steeper price.

2. Digital transformation progress will continue on a slow but steady trend.

Businesses will continue to march toward their digital future at a steady pace in 2020, but it may be another decade before most industries realize their full digital potential. One thing to keep in mind if you’re pondering your company’s digital transformation strategy is that not every part of the enterprise must be transformed simultaneously, so focus on the key functions that can be digitized for you to compete in your marketplace.

3. AI is getting smarter, and it will make your life easier.

Right now, lifelike chatbots are all the rage. We’ll soon see AI take major steps toward supplementing human expertise in monitoring and addressing IT communications network traffic. This is fantastic news for businesses because it will not only accelerate problem resolution (as it is used today), but also predict and prevent issues from occurring in the first place.

4. AI and 5G will bring the ‘intelligent edge’ to life.

The practice of moving computing power and applications to the edge of the network, where most business transactions are done, is not a new concept and is an increasingly important trend in IT. However, we’ll see AI proxies begin to parse data and make warp-speed decisions in 2020. This, combined with the acceleration of 5G, will enable massive data transfers fueled by the internet of things, animating the intelligent edge and bringing things like sentient infrastructure in cities closer to fruition.

5. The IT skills gap will turbocharge everything as a service (XaaS).

In 2020, the rapid pace of innovation in IT will widen the IT skills gap and push companies to increasingly look to business applications and services in the cloud and on demand rather than building in-house. Internal departmental developers within an organization will become mainstream and permeate the entire organization.

6. Businesses will need to prepare for security at the speed of 5G.

With high speed and low latency, 5G will accelerate communications — but it will also accelerate crime by allowing hackers to grab sensitive data at astounding speeds once they penetrate networks and devices. Only AI and intelligent automation can keep up with the rate of breaches. In 2020, look for AI to be inserted into cybersecurity plans as companies prepare for 5G.

7. Businesses will invest in ‘disaster-proofing’ themselves against climate change and the economy.

As climate change continues to wreak havoc with weather patterns, business continuity and disaster recovery as a service will rise dramatically. Businesses will see it as an imperative of survival to invest more in standby systems and third-party service providers to keep them running through crises. Applications will become “mobile” and have the ability to move between clouds and private data centers on demand.

8. Private 5G networks will be built.

With the average cost of a data breach in the U.S. rising to $8.19 million, private wireless networks (PWNs) will increasingly take root in enterprises involving public safety, home care, hospital settings, field service management, utilities and similar industries. PWNs will help ensure that increasingly mobile workforces can keep application sessions always open as they connect via various wireless networks and encounter gaps in coverage as the perform potentially lifesaving tasks.

9. Network cloudification will accelerate as software-defined networks claim primacy over physical equipment.

Through cloud, virtualization and containerization, software-defined networks are rapidly replacing purpose-built appliances, lowering costs and delivering greater quality of service and bandwidth to distributed enterprises everywhere. 2020 will be the tipping point for software-defined networks as more companies move their networks to the cloud.

10. 2020 will mark the beginning of the SD-LAN transformation.

With IDC forecasting that the SD-WAN infrastructure market will reach $5.25 billion in 2023, the shift to the next networking phase, SD-LAN, will begin in earnest in 2020. SD-LAN has all the benefits of SD-WAN but also provides business continuity to the network access layer. It’s application-driven and creates centrally managed networks that are easier to operate, integrate and scale all the way to the end user, providing full visibility and programmability from end user to application.

2020 promises to be a year of exciting change. While none of us has a crystal ball to gaze into the future, there are some certainties we can count on: Change will come at an increasing pace, and new technologies will emerge. Having insight into what’s on the digital horizon will help your organization plan, stay ahead of the competition and delight your customers.

MuleSoft has released the report ‘Top 7 Digital Transformation Trends Shaping 2020′ which outlines the most timely digital transformation trends for 2020 and explores their impact across industries.

Digital transformation has become a catchall term for reimagining business in the digital age: it can refer to any process that uses digital technologies to solve for changing business and market requirements.

The top trends, according to Mulesoft are:

Connecting the consumer experience.

Organisations need to solve for increasing pressure on IT to open up bandwidth for delivering connected, personalised experiences for their consumers – from customers to partners to employees to developers.

According to the report, “69% of consumers say a disconnected customer experience would make them consider changing service providers, 71% of IT decision-makers report customer experience is a top goal of their digital transformation initiatives, and 93% of business leaders say delivering a relevant and reliable customer experience will be critical to their company’s overall business.”

However, “81% of consumers believe organisations provide a disconnected experience and just 36% of IT decision-makers say their organisations provide a completely connected user experience across all channels.”

Data-driven business.

Unlocking and analysing data is at the heart of digital transformation. Businesses are putting their data to work in order to improve customer experiences, streamline operations, and quickly launch new products and services.

The report says “breaking down data silos is positively correlated with a company’s performance. At the best-run midsize companies, IT groups are more invested in breaking down data and application silos — a critical step towards enabling the sharing of insights across the company.”

Artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Organisations are increasingly investing in AI capabilities to expedite and personalise customer service, reduce human bias, and increase productivity. They are learning that the value of AI and machine learning tools are dependent upon the data they are fed.

“Organisations are often restricted by the fact that their data is locked up in siloed systems and applications,” says Mulesoft founder Ross Mason.

“As a result, getting that data into an AI engine to start revealing insights can be a major problem. If AI is the ‘brain,’ we liken APIs and integration to the ‘nervous system’ to help AI really create value in a complex, real-time business context.”

Multi-cloud computing.

Most enterprises today run on multi-cloud environments, but managing multiple clouds is complicated, specifically when it comes to moving application workloads between cloud environments. API-led application development and containerisation are two potential solutions to this problem.

Partnering with IT to turbocharge the business.

To maximise the full potential of technology, organisations are positioning IT as a core enabler to the business.

The report details the difficulties that IT departments are seeing as more pressure is placed on them to achieve business goals while still trying to run day-to-day operations, which is leading to an underwhelming result when it comes to project completion.

Co-creating value with external stakeholders.

The best businesses are creating a network effect by building collaborative ecosystems of partners, customers, and external stakeholders.

The report quotes MIT Sloan Management Research: “When markets become disrupted by new technologies and competitors, many legacy companies struggle to keep up. They are often simply ill-prepared to develop new products and services in the midst of the uncertainty. Rather than attempting to go it alone in such circumstances, some companies reach out to partners with an eye toward building a broader ecosystem that will boost their competitive strength.”

Fueling business performance with APIs.

Businesses leveraging APIs are experiencing increased productivity, revenue growth, and room for innovation — but they must be productised and easily reusable to deliver full value.

The report points out that reusable APIs are key to efficient utilisation, stating, “Companies that always reuse APIs see greater productivity and revenue growth than those who simply own APIs”.

Microsoft announced a bunch of tooling updates this week for organizations using Office 365 and Azure solutions.

Organizations are getting templates to more easily set up Office 365 end users. There’s a new tool for checking Office 365 ProPlus security practices. There’s an updated tool for optimizing SharePoint Online pages. Additionally, PowerShell 7 preview version 4 was released.

Microsoft also released an open source font for Windows Terminal. In addition, various Azure Portal updates are available this month.

Microsoft 365 Admin Center Templates
The Microsoft 365 Admin Center management portal now includes savable templates for an easier way to set up Office 365 access for end users, according to a Monday announcement. The templates can be created using the portal’s “Active Users” page, or they can be created after an IT pro sets up access for an Office 365 user.

The new templates simplify matters for IT pros because the same settings can be used for certain groups of end users within an organization, which get encapsulated in the template. Office 365 tenancies will start getting access to the templates this month, but the feature will be available more broadly “over the next few months,” Microsoft indicated.

Security Policy Advisor for Office 365 ProPlus
Microsoft this month announced that its Security Policy Advisor for managing Office 365 ProPlus clients reached general availability, meaning it was commercially released. This feature previously had been available as a preview release back in April.

Back then, Microsoft had explained that Security Policy Advisor helps IT pros sort through Microsoft’s security baseline recommendations for Office 365 ProPlus clients. It’ll offer suggestions on the security policies to use. It also has a dashboard showing how existing security policies are affecting users.

Security Policy Advisor is accessed through a portal used to configure Office 365 ProPlus settings. It has a dependency on using the Office Cloud Policy Service for Office 365 ProPlus, which further requires having Azure Active Directory synchronization.

SharePoint Online Page Diagnostics
Microsoft on Wednesday announced the release of version 2.0.1 of its Page Diagnostics Tool for SharePoint Online. Its chief enhancement is its ability to “assess modern and classic SharePoint pages in SharePoint Online,” Microsoft indicated. The browser-based tool can identify pages with suboptimal performance, based on Microsoft’s best practices guidelines, and it’ll offer remediation suggestions.

The Page Diagnostics Tool is just for use with Microsoft’s SharePoint Online service. It doesn’t work with SharePoint Server installed at an organization’s datacenter.

PowerShell 7 Preview 4
Microsoft announced on Thursday that it has updated its PowerShell 7 preview to version 4. The announcement also described some of Microsoft’s release plans for the new scripting solution.

The “general availability” commercial release of PowerShell 7 is expected to occur sometime in “January 2020,” Microsoft indicated. A release candidate version will appear before that date, perhaps in “December 2019.”

This coming PowerShell 7 release will be a so-called “long-term servicing” release, but it’ll follow Microsoft’s Modern Lifecycle Support policy. What that likely means (based on Microsoft’s description for PowerShell 6.x) is that PowerShell 7 users will need to update the product within six months when minor upgrades get released by Microsoft, and they’ll need to apply the latest patches within 30 days, too. Future updates stop arriving if the upgrading and patching doesn’t keep pace with those cycles.

Microsoft also indicated that it plans to eventually release PowerShell 7 through the Windows Store. It’ll get published via an MSIX package, Microsoft’s newest software packaging approach. PowerShell 7 preview 4 currently supports the MSIX format.

New features in PowerShell 7 preview 4 include a ternary conditional operator for Boolean expressions and a Start-Job cmdlet, which can be used to “specify the working directory of the new job process before your script block runs.” Microsoft also added some Desired State Configuration (DSC) improvements and released a new DSC Resource Kit, which includes 15 DSC PowerShell modules. Organizations typically might use DSC to declare optimal configuration states for their servers, as accessed via the push or pull method.

PowerShell 7 is getting built on .NET Core 3.0. It’s conceived as being a replacement for both Windows PowerShell 5.1 and the various PowerShell 6.x scripting solution products.

Windows Terminal and Cascadia Code Font
Microsoft announced on Wednesday that its open source Cascadia Code font was released at the GitHub repository. It’s a monospaced font that lets users create “programming ligatures” — that is, characters can be combined, such as typing the “<” and “=” symbols together to create a less-than-or-equal symbol. The font was designed for the Windows Terminal, Microsoft’s new open source command-line console for Windows 10, which is still at an early preview stage after its May debut.

“Cascadia” was actually Microsoft’s code name for Windows Terminal, according to the announcement. Windows Terminal users aren’t stuck with this font, as other fonts and glyphs can be used, this blog post explained.

Azure Portal Updates
The Azure Portal got updated this month, per a Tuesday announcement.

This update added a new Azure SQL “unified” experience to the Azure Portal, which Microsoft defined as an easier way to “discover, create, and manage your SQL databases, instances, pools and virtual machines” within the portal. For instance, the portal will suggest which resource to use “based on your application’s requirements,” Microsoft explained.

In addition, Microsoft described improvements to Azure Data Explorer, which is used in the Azure Portal to analyze streaming data from applications and Web sites. Azure Data Explorer now lets IT pros select which Azure Availability Zone to use. Using multiple Azure Availability Zones will help avoid having a single point of failure, Microsoft suggested.

Azure Data Explorer also now uses “optimized autoscale” by default, which will automatically scale out a cluster that’s maxing out on its resources. Additionally, Microsoft included an Azure Disk Encryption feature in Azure Data Explorer that adds “volume encryption for the OS and data disks of your cluster virtual machines,” Microsoft explained.

Also for Azure Portal users this month, Microsoft included a preview of a “Streaming Ingestion” feature in Azure Data Explorer. The Streaming Ingestion feature typically gets used in scenarios where high data ingestion occurs, but low latency (less than 10 seconds) is required.

The Azure Portal also includes access to Azure Advisor, which checks the use of various Azure services against Microsoft’s best practices, offering optimization tips. Microsoft announced this week that Azure Advisor now can send user-configured alerts at the preview stage. These alerts might be used to “right-size or shut down underutilized Virtual Machines,” for instance. Microsoft also touted the alerts as potentially being useful for automating actions by working with an organization’s ticketing system or runbook assignments, for instance.

Build Your Own Security Apps
Microsoft announced this week that it has published a whitepaper on how to build your own security solutions using the Microsoft Graph Security application programming interface (API). The Microsoft Graph is a “collection of APIs” that can be tapped to gain access to information from Microsoft’s online services, such as from various Office 365 solutions.

Examples of apps that can be built, according to the whitepaper, include ones that automate the delivery of security alerts or apps that automate workflow responses. Microsoft’s target audience for the whitepaper includes independent software vendors, managed service providers, IT system integrators and enterprise organizations.

So—what exactly is the difference between overall trends in digital transformation and digital transformation trends in high tech industries? Believe it or not, there is a difference—a big one. And it comes down to the solution being offered—vs. the technology being used to provide it. In other words, high tech is not the chatbot; it’s the natural language processing and AI powering that chatbot. It’s not the smart beacon; it’s the IoT network and data processing that makes a real-time connection with customers possible.

Why does it matter? In today’s market, it’s the digital transformation trends in high tech industries that are shaping digital transformation for the rest of us. We all know customer experience drives digital transformation. But how today’s high tech companies choose to fulfill customer demands in this “post-sale, on-demand, attention economy” is what defines the path of transformation for the entire market.

Honestly, it’s hard to pinpoint the solitary top digital transformation trends in high tech industries because so many of them are interdependent on one another. But here are a few that I believe are (and continue to be) the focal points for high tech companies enabling digital transformation across industries in 2019:

Artificial Intelligence

I might add: “And everything else that goes along with it.” AI is so much more than chatbots and email personalization. Machine learning and deep reinforcement learning are poised to change entire industries. They’re the technologies that will be creating jobs we’ve never even imagined and services we never thought possible. As we move into 2019, we’ll see high tech companies seeking to strengthen the performance of their AI, machine learning, and deep reinforcement learning so the technologies can become even more widely adopted in the regular business world. Think about it: there is a big difference between how Siri and Alexa respond to voice. This year, the technologies driving those services—and the quality of them—will be a huge priority.

Cloud

I know—it doesn’t sound exciting. But from a high-tech standpoint, cloud—close, fast, accessible cloud—is necessary for the processing of all the data being collected and synthesized in digital transformation. It doesn’t matter if it’s public cloud, private cloud, or fog computing (also known as edge computing), know that high tech companies will be working to make the cloud even more efficient, accessible, and secure than ever before to support your companies’ further expansion into the IoT, data processing, and more. (And to be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if a new, cloud alternative was developed this coming year, as well.)

CX and UX

OK, this isn’t a technology, it’s a state-of-mind. Today’s high tech industries have had to change their mindset from developing cool new products to developing solutions that will enable even cooler products and services to develop. It’s no longer “what could we make,” but “how could we improve/engage/enhance” the experience customers are having with certain products?

Data-Driven Decisions

The business marketplace is moving toward data-driven decision making, and high-tech companies are responding by creating the processes and abilities to process data reliably in real-time. After all, you can’t make a data-backed decision if your data is corrupted, out-of-date, or incomplete. High tech companies are working diligently to make the concept of data-driven decisions a trustworthy option in digital transformation through the development of infrastructure, software and services that can truly deliver on the promise of data. And with that, comes increased efficiencies and smarter business choices for all of us.

AR, VR, and MR

You know why VR hasn’t caught on beyond some specific niche uses? Because high-tech companies haven’t been focusing on it as much as they have on AR. It’s these behind-the-scenes decisions that determine the types of tech that will roll out to the rest of us in any year. In the past, many high-tech firms have realized that there were too many issues with VR for it to be profitable. But now, as AR has found a foothold in the business world, I think we’ll see a shift toward finally bringing VR and MR to the consumer forefront. We’ll see high tech companies focusing more on making VR accessible to companies and consumers alike.

Blockchain

While, we are still in early days, I do believe that Blockchain has a massive number of use cases that make it a continued focus for high-tech companies in their product and service development efforts. Many early use cases were built around crypto currency, but companies are finding more and more use cases for Blockchain for concepts like securing transactions and validating product authenticity. With privacy, security and accuracy more important than ever amidst the data deluge, I’m confident that Blockchain will work its way into the mix. However, so far, I’m still not sure 2019 will be the year we see Blockchain go mainstream.

Connection

Like I said—all of these technologies are connected in some way, if only because they rely upon one another to deliver the final tech products we use in the marketplace everything. The IoT, for instance, needs to work with wearables and transfer data via the cloud so that companies can personalize their marketing to the user. It’s all one giant tech puzzle, with the pieces moving by the second. And today’s high-tech industries are the ones putting the pieces together. Thus, we’ll continue to see a focus on smart machines (for data processing) and the IoT (especially its infrastructure and how it connects to everything else) this coming year.

As fast as digital transformation seems to be moving, it’s the high-tech companies who are driving that change by enhancing the technology we work with every single day. No doubt, it will be an exciting year ahead.

The 4th industrial revolution is slowly changing the way we live; artificial intelligence and automation gradually replace human in many jobs. This is an opportunity but also a big challenge for technology companies.

Automation and artificial intelligence are growing minute by minute

We are living in the most turbulent times, when automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are completed and developed minute by minute. Most recently, AI made people startled by winning the world chess champion and another AI even made a hair cut appointment after a long conversation.

Amazon has more than 100,000 robots working in warehouses around the world. In the near future, the company plans to replace all employees performing repetitive tasks with robots. At Foxconn, which manufactures equipment for Apple, Samsung and Microsoft, has replaced 60,000 workers with robots. The company expects to automate all of its repetitive tasks.

A paper published by Forbes.com points out that automation and new technologies are changing the nature of many jobs, as well as creating new jobs that have never existed before. The MCKinsey Global Institute (MGI) predicts that if automation becomes the focus of the revolution, about 15 percent of global workforce equivalent to 400 million workers will be replaced by 2030. However, new careers in the digital age are expected to require a new workforce of between 8 and 9%.

In practice in Vietnam, we have implemented many administrative procedures over the Internet instead of directly go to the administrative agencies, for booking cars through smart applications such as Grab, Goviet or other services. This is also the same when we mention about online banking.

Technology will certainly go far, but it is hard to replace human in particular jobs

Technology experts have confirmed that in many industries, the machine can never replace humans in the future. Similarly, not all interactions can be made mechanically if the main goal is to provide a personalized and interactive customer experience. Machines can perform repetitive and basic tasks but can not provide in-depth technical knowledge. Therefore, those companies that focus on deep technical support and excellent product expertise and customer experience will continue to thrive.
