Tại Nghị định số 49/2025 ngày 28/2 vừa ban hành, Chính phủ quy định cụ thể về ngưỡng tiền thuế nợ và thời gian nợ trong các trường hợp bị tạm hoãn xuất cảnh. Nghị định có hiệu lực từ 28/2. Đây là một trong những biện pháp cưỡng chế thuế đang được triển khai nhằm tăng cường hiệu quả thu hồi nợ thuế và nâng cao ý thức chấp hành nghĩa vụ thuế của người dân.
Quy định này được áp dụng căn cứ vào Luật Quản lý thuế 2019, có hiệu lực từ ngày 1/7/2020. Việc tạm hoãn xuất cảnh đối với người nợ thuế không phải là biện pháp mới, tuy nhiên mức ngưỡng 50 triệu đồng đang được áp dụng nghiêm ngặt hơn trong thời gian gần đây.
Bắt đầu từ ngày 1/7/2025, số định danh cá nhân sẽ thay thế hoàn toàn mã số thuế cá nhân hiện hành theo quy định mới của Bộ Tài chính. Đây là một trong những thay đổi quan trọng nằm trong lộ trình cải cách hành chính thuế, nhằm đơn giản hóa thủ tục và nâng cao hiệu quả quản lý thuế tại Việt Nam.
